Town’s contract offers to Posh pair Paul Taylor and George Boyd were a long way from the terms they were after, according to reports in Peterborough. The duo were at Portman Road for talks, the traditional tour of the facilities and to pass medicals yesterday, but late in the evening informed the club via the agent they share that they would not be accepting their deals.

Posh pair George Boyd and Paul Taylor are at Town and are continuing to hold talks regarding their £2 million switch to the Blues. The duo were scheduled to undergo medicals at Portman Road this afternoon - with some sources reporting that they have now passed them - having travelled from Peterborough to negotiate their moves earlier today.

Town have announced that former club chairman David Sheepshanks has stepped down as chairman of the board of the PLC which owns 12.5% of the club. Roger Finbow, a former director of the club and member of the PLC board since its formation in 2007, is taking over as chair, while Supporters' Club chair Elizabeth Edwards is being added to the PLC board.
